Advertising and Promotional Release
I hereby consent to the reproduction and/or use of photographs, video or audio recordings of my child for advertising and promotional purposes by Lisa Christine Studios, LLC.
Attendance
Enrolled students are required to attend lessons on a weekly basis. Lisa Christine Studios, LLC has the right to discontinue lessons with any student who misses lessons regularly or who does not show the expected level of commitment.
Cancelations
No monetary credit or refunds will be awarded for missed lessons. If a student cannot attend a lesson due to sickness or a scheduling conflict, the lesson must be canceled using the studio portal. If a cancelation is submitted on My Music Staff at least 24 hours before a lesson, the student will be eligible for a make-up lesson. In the event of a last-minute conflict, the studio contact sheet may be used to trade lesson times with another student. Lessons may be traded with, but not gifted to, other students or family members.
Conduct
Lisa Christine Studios, LLC has the right to remove any enrolled student from lessons, classes, rehearsals or performances for inappropriate conduct. This includes but is not restricted to inattentive behavior, disruptive behavior, abusive behavior, inappropriate language, bad attitude, fighting, pouting or crying. There will be no refunds or make-ups for missed time due to removal from lessons.
Equipment
Parents are financially responsible for any studio equipment damaged or broken by their child. This includes microphones, microphone stands, music stands, speakers, wires and cables, recording equipment, computers, music books, headphones, and the piano.
Exclusivity
It is in each student’s best interest to study voice lessons exclusively with Lisa Fahey while enrolled at Lisa Christine Studios, LLC. Studying with an additional teacher may provide conflicting information that could hinder vocal development. Furthermore, repertoire assigned to a student at Lisa Christine Studios, LLC is only to be worked on at Lisa Christine Studios, LLC. Students may not work on assigned voice lesson material with other vocal or acting coaches without permission in advance, and Lisa Christine Studios, LLC reserves the right to terminate lessons with a student found studying with an additional instructor or participating in workshops or recitals hosted by another studio.
Extra Lessons
If time permits, additional lessons may be scheduled to prepare for performances or auditions. Fees for extra lessons are payable at the time of the lesson and current a la carte pricing will apply.
Holidays and Studio Closures
A list of holiday and studio closures will be given at the beginning of the school year. Tuition does not include lessons missed due to holidays and breaks, so no make-up credits will be awarded for weeks when the studio is closed.
Intellectual Property
The knowledge passed along to students is the intellectual property of Lisa Christine Studios, LLC. Vocal exercises, technical corrections, acting adjustments and staging or choreography are intended for use by students only and are not to be shared with third parties. The same applies to materials such as music files, background tracks and sheet music provided in lessons.
Late Fees
There will be a late fee of $10 if tuition is paid after the 10th day of the month. If tuition is not paid by the 15th day of the month, subsequent lessons will not be taught until the tuition and late fee are paid.
Length of Lesson
Lessons will begin at the scheduled time and continue for 30 minutes, unless special arrangements are made. No accommodation will be made for tardiness on the part of the student, unless time permits and no other lesson or scheduled engagement is delayed.
Make-Up Lessons
Lisa Christine Studios, LLC cannot guarantee make-up lessons will be available, although every attempt will be made to grant requests for make-up lessons if the required notice is given. (See “Cancelations.”) Students may sign up for make-up lessons on the MMS portal. Make-up lessons must be scheduled within 30 days of an absence or the credit expires. There will be no refunds for unused make-up lessons, nor will the credits transfer to the summer session or the following school year. All make-ups will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. No make-ups are given for missed lessons or last-minute cancelations!
Performances and Recitals
Participation in recitals and/or showcases is mandatory for students occupying weekly time slots. Parents are responsible for transportation to and from performance events, as well as the costs associated with required costuming, footwear, accessories, and props.
Practice & Preparation
Students are expected to arrive to each lesson practiced and prepared with all necessary lesson materials. Lessons are not to be used as supervised practice sessions; all assigned music should be learned at home. Students will make the most progress with disciplined and organized practice sessions. For optimal growth, students should rehearse a minimum of 90 minutes per week with MP3 files from the previous lesson. Lisa Christine Studios, LLC has the right to discontinue lessons with any student who does not practice and show the expected level of growth or commitment.
Returned Check Fee
A $35 fee will be assessed for any returned check.
Sickness
To protect other students, children who are ill (with fevers, coughing, laryngitis, stomach flu and such) should not attend lessons. If a student is ill in the days leading up to a lesson, notify Lisa Christine Studios, LLC in advance to receive a make-up credit for the missed lesson. (See “Cancelations.”) Students who become sick on the day of a lesson should use the studio contact list to switch lessons with another student. Students with mild symptoms also have the option to take their lesson online.
Snow Policy
If winter weather conditions prevent a student from attending a scheduled lesson, a make-up lesson will be offered if Lisa Christine Studios, LLC is notified of the absence before the lesson is set to begin. If Lisa Christine Studios, LLC cancels lessons due to weather, affected students will be notified and make-up lessons will be offered. Students also have the option to take their lesson online in the event of poor weather conditions.
Student Progress
Parents who have questions or concerns about their child’s development may schedule a parent-teacher conference with Lisa Christine Studios, LLC. Likewise, Lisa Christine Studios, LLC may call a meeting to discuss concerns about a student’s progress.
Teacher Absence
A make-up credit will be offered for any lesson missed due to teacher absence. In the event of mild illness of behalf of the teacher, lessons will be offered online.
Tuition
The rate for the 2024-2025 school year is $925 per semester. Rates are subject to change over time. Tuition can be paid monthly, per semester, or for the entire school year. Fees for lessons are due on the first day of each month. A la carte pricing (for drop-in/extra lessons) is available upon request. Payments are accepted in cash, by check to Lisa Christine Studios, or via PayPal (convenience fee added). Venmo is not accepted at this time.
Visitors
It is preferable for students to attend lessons alone. All visitors (grandparents, siblings, friends or others) must receive permission from the student and Lisa Christine Studios, LLC before attending a lesson. An adult must accompany visitors under the age of 10.
Withdrawal Policy
Parents are financially liable for tuition payments until a 30-day written notice is given to Lisa Christine Studios, LLC, formally withdrawing the student from lessons. Parents will be financially responsible for tuition for the remainder of the 30 days. Without a written withdrawal from lessons or classes, Lisa Christine Studios, LLC has the right to pursue payment and collection of the total monthly tuition due by legal means if necessary.
Waiver of Liability
For myself and on behalf of my heirs, I hereby do expressly and forever waive and release Lisa Christine Studios, LLC and all their respective officers from any liability for personal injuries, loss or damages incurred at all activities related to participation in any lesson, class, training program or performance with Lisa Christine Studios, LLC.
